Whatch out what you desire and how you get what you desire

The woman saw that the tree was good for food,pleasing to the eyes, and desirable for gaining wisdom.
So she took some of its fruit and ate it;and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her,
and he ate it. Gen 3:6

We are tempted through what we desire

A way forward
Lets always lay all our desires to God so that he can purify them and that we wont be tempted through them and always rely to God for his providence at the right pace.

After laying our desires before Christ,we need to be reading the Word of God for all the answers of our prayers are in there.

Virtue in the Bible

Proverbs 11:16 GNTA

A gracious woman is respected, but a woman without virtue is a disgrace. Lazy people will never have money, but aggressive people will get rich.

Proverbs 19:11 GNTA

If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it.

Additions to Esther 10:2 GNTA

His power and virtue, as well as the wealth and splendor of his empire, are recorded in the official records of the kings of Persia and Media.

Wisdom 4:1 GNTA

It is better to have virtue, even if it means having no children. Your virtue will be recognized by other people and by God, and you will be remembered for it forever.

Wisdom 4:2 GNTA

Virtue provides an example for people to follow; when it is not there, they miss it. It has always been the finest prize a person can win, and it always will be so. It is the noblest of all the good qualities a person can have.

Wisdom 5:13 GNTA

It is the same with us - we were born, and then we ceased to be. We left no sign of virtue behind us; we were destroyed by our wickedness."

Numbers 23,24 and 25

I read Numbers chapters 23,24 and 25 and here is what i learnt:

i)God has blessed us (believers)and the blessings follow us when we remain faithful to him.When we think of the enemy  cursing us lets remember God has blessed us and  remind God of those blessings and reject the curses for it is said in 23:8 "How can I lay a curse on the one whom God has not cursed? How denounce the one whom the LORD has not denounced?"

ii)To be like Phineas (to get angry when we see sins around and to get on our knees crying for repentance for whatever we have heard or seen that defy God )God really admires that! -Oh God help me to be like Phineas!

iii)When we dont destroy evil altars around us and in us we can easily get drawn back to sining.

iv)God fights for us and help us defeat our enemies when we remain in him

Prayer:
I pray that God bless his Church as he has blessed Israel,help us to always bless Israel,to be like Phineas,help us to destroy evil altars around and in us as well as keep on fighting for us and help us defeat our enemies always.

THE LORD'S WAYS

Let him who is wise understand these things;
let him who is prudent know them.
Straight are the paths of the LORD,
in them the just walk,
but sinners stumble in them. Hosea 14:10

WHAT I LEARNT
The same ways can make someone prosper and at the same time can be a stumbling block to others!it only depends where you stand.

Stand with the Lord and his guiding ways will make you prosper.standing on the world side will make you see all that the Lord is telling you to do is not good and henceyou will fall in to the enemy's trap,BE ON YOUR GUARD ALWAYS

OBSERVING GODS DECREES AND STATUTES

Moses spoke to the people and said:
“Now, Israel, hear the statutes and decrees
which I am teaching you to observe,
that you may live, and may enter in and take possession of the land
which the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
Therefore, I teach you the statutes and decrees
as the LORD, my God, has commanded me,
that you may observe them in the land you are entering to occupy.
Observe them carefully,
for thus will you give evidence
of your wisdom and intelligence to the nations,
who will hear of all these statutes and say,
‘This great nation is truly a wise and intelligent people.’
For what great nation is there
that has gods so close to it as the LORD, our God, is to us
whenever we call upon him?
Or what great nation has statutes and decrees
that are as just as this whole law
which I am setting before you today? Deut 4:1,5-9

WHAT I LEARNT
when we observe God's statutes and decrees
1.we will live and can enter in the promises of God
2.be evidence of wisdom and intelligence to the nations
3.God will be very close to us when we call him

LISTENING TO AND WALKING WITH GOD

"Thus says the LORD:
This is what I commanded my people:
Listen to my voice;
then I will be your God and you shall be my people.
Walk in all the ways that I command you,
so that you may prosper."  Jer 7:23

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM THE ABOVE PART OF THE SCRIPTURE
1.LISTENING TO GOD'S VOICE MAKES GOD OUR GOD
2.WALKING IN HIS WAYS GIVES US TRUE PROSPERITY

May the Lord God remove our stubborn and hardened hearts and give us a new heart that is ready to listen to him and walk happily and willingly in his ways always.

FINDING GOD IN EVERYTHING

I have realiased truth that can never be invalidated that,

I can work at my best always if I trust God and have allowed Him God Almighty who has all wisdom and who is wisdom himself to intervene  and work together with me (Fil 4:13)
and that
working at my best does not mean obtaining the greatest physical output but also means allowing God's will to be done in my work as well and thats why we are encouraged to surrender and pray always to God so that we can work at our best in all things(both physically as well as spiritually)

Christianity

Christianity is more than A RELIGION.
Christianity does more that just giving us morals
It is not only the way of thinking.
Christianity is living Christ's life. It is Christ living in us.
Christians are therefore called to love as Christ has loved us i.e a sacrificial love,love without limits. Have you ever asked yourself then why are we not able to love that way? It is because sin that came into the world from the beginning brought fear within us so that we have formed for ourselves walls to protect us.We become selfish,thinking of ourselves mostly,fearing always to be hurt(self pity).These walls hinder us from reaching God as well as reaching our fellow human beings and relate in love with them.These walls are called deaths because they limit us to express love to its fulnes.
Thanks to God for he sent his only son to set us free from the bondage/walls.
We should therefore accept Jesus Christ in our lives by faith and he will break all the walls and will make us able to love like him.
