Taking Charge 2

When I read Prov 31:10-27 I see a woman who has taken charge of her life.

In verse 21 it says that "She fears not the snow for her family,for all her household are doubly clothed in scarlet".  She has not allowed fear of any kind to take charge of her life.

One can ask why is she so confident  that she worries not? When you read the whole part form verse 10-31 one can see the real character of this woman. She is God fearing as well as hard-working and  works persistently in preparing for her family for what it needs presently and in the time to come as well.

One great lesson I can get from this Prov 31 woman is that when we trust God and put our present lives and future lives in his care,he will give us strength and guide us in our walks. Through God given strength (physical,mental as well as spiritual) one can be able to work diligently and provide for the current as well as future needs. We then can laugh at the time to come like this woman In verse 25 since fear no longer takes charge of our lives but practically trusting in God.

Taking charge

When I look at my life,there are areas i see I have not taken full charge/control of them. I see this when I consider the way I can well plan what to do/what needs to be done but unfortunately fail to accomplish the plans. There are many reasons to this but for me  when I reflect, what i see as a hindrace to me is fear.

in 1 Tim 2:5-7 it says
 "I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

God is telling us that,the faith we have received we should put it in practise and warns us that fear is one of the things that can hinder that progress and growth in our lives.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, from now onwards,I refuse the spirit of fear to take charge of my life. In Jesus name I proclaim my life will be led by God through his spirit of Power,love and self control,Amen.

To promote obedience to the faith

 It is through Him [Jesus Christ] that we have received grace and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name’s sake among all the Gentiles. 

Through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations Rom 1:5

Kuna makusudi ya aina tatu katika maisha,
Kusudi la Mungu
Kusudi la wanadamu
Kusudi la ibilisi

Jambo la kuzingatia hapa unapotamani kutimiza kusudi fulani ni vizuri ukajifunza kwa wale wanaolitumikia kusudi linalofanana la la kwako.
Kamwe usijaribu kukaa pamoja na kuambatana na wale wasio na kusudi la Mungu wakati wewe una nia ya kulitumikia kusudi la Mungu.

Keep Alive (Chochea karama)

3 I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. I thank him as I remember you always in my prayers night and day. 4 I remember your tears, and I want to see you very much, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I remember the sincere faith you have, the kind of faith that your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice also had. I am sure that you have it also.

  6 For this reason I remind you to keep alive the gift that God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For the Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control. 8 Do not be ashamed, then, of witnessing for our Lord; neither be ashamed of me, a prisoner for Christ's sake. Instead, take your part in suffering for the Good News, as God gives you the strength for it.    2 Tim 1:3-8


Reflection:
Let us be not afraid and take heart  then in serving God,working using what God has given us for we will be accountable before God.It does not matter how small we think and see what we have,lets just use that what we think is small for there is nothing small in God's sight as long as he is the one who has given us.One thing to know is that The more we walk with the Holy Spirit serving with whatever gifts God has given us the stronger we get  and God gets more and more Glory as his kingdom keeps on expanding.

We need to remind ourselves these things every time

 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.  

10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. 11 For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 12 Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. 13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body,to stir you up by way of reminder, 14 since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things. 2 Pet 1

Revelation

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,
that the Gospel preached by me is not of human origin.
For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it,
but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

Reflection: We don't only need to be taught the Word of God,we also need Revelation personally that will confirm what we have heard.We need the Word to be taught with power of God not just words.

Discipline

We really need to be careful when we pass through various stages in our lives so that we can always be victorious.We have to make sure we create  a habit of always  reflecting on our experiences and challenges  in light of biblical truths. Rom 12:1-2

The Word

The Lord GOD said to me:
As for you, son of man, obey me when I speak to you:
be not rebellious like this house of rebellion,
but open your mouth and eat what I shall give you.

It was then I saw a hand stretched out to me,
in which was a written scroll which he unrolled before me.
It was covered with writing front and back,
and written on it was:
Lamentation and wailing and woe!

He said to me: Son of man, eat what is before you;
eat this scroll, then go, speak to the house of Israel.
So I opened my mouth and he gave me the scroll to eat.
Son of man, he then said to me,
feed your belly and fill your stomach
with this scroll I am giving you.
I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
He said: Son of man, go now to the house of Israel,
and speak my words to them.       Ez 2:8-3:4

Reflection: We can not be servants of God if we do not have his Word in us.We need to hear from Him and then go to serve according to what he has told us.
May God help us read and understand his Word so that we can be able to relate to him well and be able to understand and do what he tells us to do in service for others,in Jesus Name,Amen.

Are you available for God?

Do you know that God is looking for availability and not ability?he does that since he is the one who will make you able to do things when you submit yourself to him and being always available for him;He needs to mould us and transform us in to the kind of people he wants us to be,the kind of wives/husbands fathers/mothers children he wants us to be for his only glory.

Having known that Therefore,as Romans 12:1-2 says, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual  act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will;

Let us therefore surrender to God as we are urged in Rom 12 above as living sacrifices hence be available to God so that he can use us the way he wants for we are created so that we know God,Love him,serve him and at last get to live with him eternally
